Ryujinfudo (Ryujin Wind Path), a power spot in Ryukyu Okinawa, Miyagi Island, Nawa Prefecture, Uruma City

There are many power spots in the tropical island of Okinawa.

In Okinawa, there is Ryukyu Shinto, which is an ancient belief in nature such as the sea and islands.

This time, we would like to introduce a power spot called Ryujinfudo, located on Miyagi Island in Uruma City, about 60 km (one hour by car) from Naha City.

I have made a video of the origin and access to Ryujinpuudo, as well as a proxy prayer for you at this place.

The site was named “Ryujin Fuudo” (Dragon God Wind Path) because of the strong energy felt during the purification ceremony for safety.

It is the power spot with the strongest energy on the premises. The sea of Ryukyu is the Dragon Palace God.
The energy of the Ryugujin is concentrated here with the Ryugujin Wind Path as the entrance.

The Ryujin Wind Path connects the sacred island of Ryukyu with the Ryujin Wind Path in a straight line.

Ryujin Fuudo and Kutaka Island

Kutaka Island is a sacred island in Ryukyu mythology, where Amamikyo, the founder god of Ryukyu, descended from the heavens to this island and began nation building. Saiba Utaki, considered the most sacred site on Okinawa Island during the Ryukyu Dynasty, was the Utaki where the king stopped on his pilgrimage to Kutaka Island, and was thought to be the place where spiritual power (Seji) from Kutaka Island was gathered the most. The island is scattered with sacred sites such as Utaki, Ugan-sho, Ton, and Ka, and among them, Kuboh Utaki in the central part of the island is the most sacred place in Kutaka Island and is forbidden to men.

Dragon God Wind Path and Hamahika Island

A cave on the reef Amanzee, where the goddess Amamikyo, the founder of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and the male deity Shirumikyo, as well as other deities, are said to have been worshipped, is located to the east of the Higa area and is called “Amamichu Cave.
In the “Ryukyu-koku-dera-ki,” this cave is described as “Amamizotake,” and other Utaki were also administered by Noro of Hamahika Island.

It is said that Amamikyo, visiting from the sea, arrived at Hamahika Island targeting Kuba Island located offshore from Kanehisa village, and lived in the cave where Shirumikyo was located. This cave is located in the southeast forest in the Higa area and is called “Silmichu Sacred Ground,” a place of worship where people pray for the birth of a child.
In the cave is a tiled shrine said to have been built in the Taisho era (1912-1926), in which two mirrors are placed.
In the Higa area, on the third day of the third lunar month, women go down to the beach to purify themselves in the sea, and the gods pray for a good harvest. Sinugudo (Sinugudo, also called “Utaki of the East”) is located on the east side of the beach area.
Here, it is said that the Samsan-era Nakayama warlord Tadatomi Taira fled and hid. On the 28th day of the 8th lunar month, Kitayama and Minamiyama went to Hamahiga Island to defeat him, but as a result of Tadatomi Taira’s prayers to Amamikyo and Silmikyo, a storm caused Kitayama and Minamiyama’s ship to sink.

Ryukyu Shinto

Okinawa is associated with shamans called “yuta,” but there are others.

Seji, which represents spiritual and legal power

Utaki, which represents the deity of a shrine, forest, or mountain.

Noro-jo (Noro) is a woman who presides over rituals and prayers at Utaki and other locations.

In Ryukyu Shinto, women are considered to have more spiritual power than men.

The belief that spiritual women protect men and their families, and that women’s hair, basho cloth (woven fabric), cotton tenugui (hand towels), etc., are carried by men as talismans to protect them from travel and fishing, and transform into swans and butterflies to protect them.

Yuta” are also used to draw the spirits of the dead into their mouths.

In Ryukyu Shinto, women perform all religious rituals.
